Rice exports stagnate in FY25 as Iran crisis, US tariffs hit demand
India's rice exports during April-November, 2025-26 remained stagnant at $7.3 billion due to higher global stocks and robust crop yield. The US imposing higher tariffs and Iran's economic crisis have affected exports. Suraj Agarwal, CEO of Ricevilla Group, stated that last year's higher stocking due to global conflicts has stabilized, resulting in slow growth.
