LED DRL's
Mahindra XUV500 looks more appealing than the outgoing model, all thanks to the subtle cosmetic changes. The SUV gets a new toothed shape grille up front along with LED DRLs that now come in a horizontal fashion above the headlamps. The fog lamp design look the same but these now get a little bit of chrome for a more premium touch. The outside rear view mirrors get integrated turning winkers and the SUV now get black plastic side skirting. The tail lamp design sees a significant revision and the new units are smalller as compared to the ones on the previous model.
Mahindra XUV500 is quite spacious and can seat seven people awithout any hassle. The seats are being offered in leather, jacquard and premium fabric, depending on the variant. There is also a panoramic sunroof, eight way adjustable driver seat and a 7-inch touchscreen on offer.
The BS6 Mahindra XUV500 is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that generates 155hp of power and 360Nm torque.
The XUV500 gets a 6-speed manual transmission. With the BS6 update, it loses the AWD option as well as the automatic gearbox.
Mahindra XUV500 gets disc brakes on all wheels and an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) comes as standard for added safety. In terms of safety, the SUV gets features like rain sensing wipers, child sensing lock, hill assist, brake assist, automatic headlamps and more.
A 70-litre fuel tank is provided. The company hasn’t divulged the fuel economy numbers yet.
