The new Mahindra XUV300 has been launched in India at a competitive price. The new model gets two engine options with segment leading torque outputs. First, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine is good for churning out a maximum torque output of 200 Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel motor develops 300 Nm. Both these engines come mated to a six-speed manual transmission system. Bookings for the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 are already underway at the company's dealerships across India at a token amount of Rs 20,000. The XUV300 gets multiple segment first safety features like front parking sensors, seven airbags and more. The new Mahindra XUV300 is currently available at the dealerships across India at a starting price of Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India).

Dominating the front end of the Mahindra XUV300 are sharp lines and edges. The sleek headlamps get projector units along with LED DRLs that look appealing. The side profile of the XUV300 has a dynamic yet simple approach and hence, the vehicle does not look overdone in terms of design and styling. The XUV300 is the longest and widest vehicle in the segment and hence, has a decent road presence.
The Mahindra XUV300 is packed up to the brim with features and you can find many interesting ones inside the cabin as well. The XUV300 gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, Mahindra's compact SUV also includes a sunroof and dual zone climate control system. However, the cabin misses out on rear AC vents which would have further enhanced the equation.
Powering the Mahindra XUV300 are two engine options. First, the 1.2-litre petrol engine is good for shedding out respective power and torque outputs of 110 bhp and 200 Nm. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces more power and torque at 115 bhp and 300 Nm respectively and is the same unit that powers the Marazzo.
The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines on the Mahindra XUV300 are mated to a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic is not on offer as of now but will be launched in the coming months.
In terms of safety, the Mahindra XUV300 has an edge when compared to many of its rivals. The XUV300 gets disc brakes all around on the top variant and gets multiple segment first safety features like seven airbags, front parking sensors and a lot more.
The Mahindra XUV300 returns an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 17 kmpl for the petrol and 20 kmpl for the diesel. The fuel tank of the XUV300 has 42 litre capacity and hence, you can expect a range of close to 750 to 800 km once you go for a full top up.
