Scooters are all about being practical by offering additional storage capacity like no two-wheeler. Electric scooters are now on the forefront by offering even boot space than its internal combustion engine counterparts. We list the top five electric scooters with class-leading space. 

Ather Rizta

The Rizta has been a runaway success and has cemented Ather Energy’s position in the market when it comes to family-oriented scooters. The Rizta has a massive 34 litres under storage space which can swallow a full-face helmet, a grocery bag and additional knick-knacks. That’s not all as the Rizta offers additional 22 litres thanks to the frunk. The Ather scooter is available in three variants and is priced from Rs 1,11,499 to Rs 1.47 lakh, ex-showroom. 

River Indie

The Indie may not have the sophisticated looks of other scooters, but its rugged design offers plenty of storage space options. Starting from the 43-litre under-seat storage where two helmets are safely secured. Apart from that it has a 12-litre lockable glove box that has a USB charger. It is the only scooter in the list that has alloy pannier mounts on both sides to attach additional boxes. The Indie is priced at Rs 1.43 lakh, ex-showroom. 

Bajaj Chetak

With 35 litres of under-seat capacity, the new generation Chetak has one of the largest spaces in its segment. Bajaj Auto managed to achieve this by redesigning the chassis, increasing the wheelbase by 25mm, which results in an overall 80mm increase in space. Additionally, the 3.5 kWh battery has been repositioned lower in the floorboard, allowing for more under-seat storage. The new Chetak starts from Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom. 

Ola S1 Pro Plus Gen 3

Ola Electric recently launched its third generation S1 range with improved range, more power and better storage options. The top-of-the-line S1 Pro Plus offers 34 litres of storage space. Even though it misses out on a frunk, it does come with cubbyholes for some additional space. The S1 Pro Plus is priced at Rs 1.55 lakh, ex-showroom. 

TVS iQube

The iQube is one of the top three best-selling electric scooters in the market. Apart from its robust build quality and features, it comes with a storage capacity of 32 litres. The entry-level 2.2kWh model, on the other hand, gets a 30-litre capacity. The iQube with 32-litre  storage starts from Rs 1.26 lakh, ex-showroom.
