The top-of-the-line trim gets a 7-inch infotainment system with an 8-speaker music system from Harman. Like the other Tata Motors CNG vehicles, the Tiago can also directly be started in CNG mode. With a single ECU, it easily shifts from CNG and petrol without a hitch. This also ensures better performance and efficiency. According to Tata Motors, the Tiago CNG AMT returns 28.06 km/kg. For better boot space, the Tiago gets 60-litre twin-cylinder CNG tanks tucked beneath the floorboard of the luggage area.
Tata Tiago iCNG AMT: Safety
The Tata Tiago iCNG AMT is equipped with twin airbags in the front, an Electronic Brakeforce System (EBD) and an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Corner Stability Control, ISOFIX and all seat belt reminders. As it is a CNG-powered vehicle, it gets additional safety features like the ignition switches off if the fuel lid is opened. In a gas leak, the CNG system automatically switches to petrol mode. It also has a Thermal Incident Protection function where the system shuts down the CNG supply to the engine and releases gas from tubes directly into the atmosphere through a special nozzle as a measure of safety.
