Tata Motors is not only expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the new Punch EV but is also concentrating on the CNG segment. Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT: Design and platform
The Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG are not new cars and the manual gearbox versions have been on sale for a while now. The recently launched variants are AMT versions of the hatchback and sedan, so they are based on the same platform as the manual versions.
In terms of design, too, the cars sport an identical design to that of their manual gearbox siblings. One big difference is the introduction of new colours, as the Tiago gets a new Tornado Blue shade while the Tigor gets a Meteor Bronze colour finish.
Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT: Variants and pricing
The new Tata Tiago CNG AMT is available in a total of four variants, which include the Tiago NRG and a dual-tone colour option — XTA, XZA+, XZA+ dual-tone, and XZA NRG. The new Tigor CNG AMT is available in two variants — XZA and XZA+.

Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT: Engine specifications
The Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT are powered by the same 1.2-litre engine that makes 85bhp and 113Nm of torque when running on petrol. In CNG mode, they develop slightly less power, however, the biggest difference is that the new Tiago and Tigor CNG are available with an AMT transmission.
