Tata Altroz Racer brochure leaked ahead of launch on June 7

Tata Altroz Racer will compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line and is expected to be priced between Rs 9-11 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Altroz Racer in the market. The company has been teasing the upcoming hot hatch since the past few days on social media ahead of its supposed launch on 7 June 2024. Prior to that, test mules of the Altroz Racer were spotted on multiple occasions over the last few months. 

Now, the brochure of the Altroz Racer has been leaked on the internet which gives out almost every detail of the car, barring the prices of course. It will be available in three trims– R1, R2, and R3. 

Tata Altroz Racer: Exterior styling

While the design will remain unchanged, Altroz Racer will get sportier visual touches including a dual-tone paint scheme featuring blacked-out front grille, air dam, bonnet, alloy wheels, pillars and window sills, ORVMs, and tailgate. Other critical visual touches include white race stripes, a roof-mounted spoiler, dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, and a ‘Racer’ badge on the front fender.

Tata Altroz Racer: Interiors

Interior layout of the Altroz Racer will be in sync with the updated range of Tata models including Punch and Nexon with a larger 10.25-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage on the dashboard. The orange accents around the AC vents, centre console and stitching on the seat upholstery adds a touch of contrast and sporty element to the all-black cabin.

Tata Altroz Racer: Colours, Variants, & Features

As mentioned above, Tata will offer Altroz in three variants— R1, R2, R3— which will be available in three colour schemes namely— Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. The leaked brochure reveals the breakup of features available in each variant of the Altroz variant. The list of features offered in each variant is mentioned below:

Tata Altroz Racer: Powertrain specs

As mentioned in our earlier reports, Altroz Racer will be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine as Tata Nexon which pushes out 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. This motor will exclusively be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. 

The Altroz Racer will lock horns with the Hyundai i20 N Line which is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill which kicks out 118 bhp and 172 Nm peak torque which comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
