Hyundai is all set to launch the Creta N Line on March 11. This will be the Korean manufacturer’s third N Line model in India after the Venue N Line and the i20 N Line. Hyundai has already opened the bookings for the Creta N Line at Rs 25,000. We find out what differentiates the Creta N Line from the standard version.

Hyundai Creta N Line vs standard Creta: Design

According to Hyundai, the Creta N Line’s front fascia is inspired by the company’s WRC design philosophy. Hence, the sporty Creta has a more aggressive road presence. It gets a slimmer honeycomb front grille with the N logo. It comes with twin LED rectangular headlamps and reworked bumpers with red inserts in front, rear and also on the side panels. The regular Creta has a broader and bigger front grilled with horizontal slats.

Both versions have connected LED lights in front and an LED bar for the rear lamps. The biggest update is that Hyundai has upsized the alloys for the N Line trim to 18 inches with red brake callipers for all four wheels. The standard Creta, on the other hand, comes with 17-inch ones. The sporty Creta has N badges in front, side and rear along with a split exhaust diffuser and sporty skid plates.

Hyundai Creta N Line vs standard Creta: Cabin

Hyundai hasn’t officially revealed the interiors of the Creta N Line but going by its design DNA, the cabin will be all dark in colour with red inserts and metal finish. It is expected to get the three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with the N emblem at the bottom. The leather upholstery seats will get additional back and side bolsters with red switches and metal finish petals.

Hyundai Creta N Line vs standard Creta: Engine Specifications

Like all the N Line vehicles, the Creta N Line will only be available with a single turbo petrol engine. It will be powered by the 1.5-litre turbo that also powers the regular Creta, Alcazar and the Verna. It has an output of 158bhp and 253Nm and will come in two transmissions — a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Only the latter gearbox is available in the standard Creta.

Otherwise, the regular Creta is offered in three engine options — 113bhp 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 143.8Nm, 1.5-litre diesel with an output of 113bhp and 250Nm and the 1.5-litre turbo. The former powertrain is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and CVT while the latter comes in both a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Hyundai Creta N Line: Competition

As the N Line is the sporty version of the Creta, it will go up against the Kia Seltos GT Line and Volkswagen Taigun GT. The Creta N Line is expected to be available in two trims, the N8 and N10.
