Citroen India has announced a price hike, following other manufacturers like Hyundai, Mahindra, and BMW amongst others. Citroen says that effective January 1, a price hike of 2.5 to 3 percent will be effective across its range.
An official letter from Jayesh Shukla, the National Head of sales, to all the dealerships, read:
“In response to various market factors and to maintain the quality and competitiveness of our products, we will increase the prices of all Citroen models, in January 2024, by 2.5-3% of the ex-showroom price across all models.
Kindly ask the team to proactively communicate this information to our customers and close the sales with the current prices by 31st Dec 2023.“
Apart from Citroen, companies such as MG, Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Hyundai amongst others, have also announced a price hike, effective January 1, 2024, citing raising input costs amongst other reasons.
