Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the facelifted Altroz. Test mules of the updated Altroz have been spotted on several occasions in recent months. This will be the first proper facelift that the Altroz will be receiving ever since it was first introduced in early 2020. Prior to this, Tata added new variants of Altroz with new powertrains such as Altroz CNG, Altroz iTubro, and Altroz Racer.

It has now been confirmed that Tata Motors will launch the Altroz facelift on May 22. The upcoming Altroz facelift will most likely get cosmetic and features enhancements over the existing model. Mechanically, it is likely to remain unchanged.

2025 Tata Altroz facelift: Expected Design

Recent spy shots hint at a significant update to the exterior styling of the upcoming Altroz facelift. The refreshed model will feature a completely redesigned front end, highlighted by a new grille and a pair of twin-LED headlamps. The new front design now aligns more closely with Tata’s latest design language, seen on models like the Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, and Safari. Additionally, the updated headlamp units incorporate sleeker LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Tata Motors has also reworked both the front and rear bumpers, likely improving the car’s aerodynamics. The fog lamp housings have been repositioned within the front bumper for a sharper look. Another notable change includes newly designed alloy wheels, although the overall silhouette of the car remains largely the same. At the rear, the current wraparound taillamps might be replaced with a simpler, more understated design.

2025 Tata Altroz facelift: Expected Interiors & Features

Inside the cabin, the updated Altroz is not expected to undergo major changes, apart from a few subtle updates such as a new illuminated Tata logo on a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel and a revised touch-and-toggle panel for climate control. The latest version of the hatchback may also gain a few additional features, including a new 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, an auto-dimming IRVM, an upgraded telematics suite, and ambient lighting, among others.

Core features like the free-standing 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with the electric sunroof, are likely to be retained from the current model. On the safety front, the updated Altroz will come equipped with six airbags as standard and may also offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

2025 Tata Altroz facelift: Expected Powertrain

Tata Motors is likely to continue offering the updated Altroz with the same set of powertrain options as the current model. This includes a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices will comprise a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. Additionally, the sportier Altroz Racer variant will feature a more powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
