Maruti Suzuki has launched an updated iteration of Wagon R. The tallboy hatch gets small but crucial updates over the pre-existing model. Although Maruti is yet to disclose the prices of the updated Wagon R we expect a small bump in prices, considering the gravity of the updates. Current prices of Wagon R starts from Rs 5.64 lakh (ex-showroom).

2025 Maruti Wagon R: Safety enhanced
The Indo-Japanese carmaker has added six airbags as a standard feature upgrading from the twin airbags available in the existing model, boosting the car’s safety attributes. It has joined the likes of Maruti models like Celerio, Alto K10, Eeco, and Grand Vitara which offer six airbags as standard fitment.
As a part of its MY2025 update, the Maruti hatchback also gets a new three-point rear centre seatbelt as standard. Prior to this update, the Wagon R came with a lap belt, rear-seat middle passenger only got a lap belt. Other safety features on offer in the updated Wagon R include ABS with EBD, ESP, central locking and rear parking sensors. Visually, the Wagon R remains unchanged with the same design and features carried over from the outgoing model.
Other convenience features in Wagon R include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 4-speaker sound system, steering-mounted controls, manual AC,remote keyless entry, rear wiper and washer, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
2025 Maruti Wagon R: Powertrain
Maruti offers two engine options with the 2025 Wagon R which are now OBD2B compliant: a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit and a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The 1.2-;itre unit is also available in CNG guise.
