French car manufacturer Citroen is gearing up to launch its all-new C3 in India on July 20, 2022. While the Citroen C3 is essentially a sub-compact SUV, the company officially terms it a ‘hatchback with a twist’. Moreover, Citroen calls the C3’s cabin a ‘Happy Space’. So, how exactly does it fare against its rivals in terms of space? Let’s find out in this comparison!
Citroen C3 vs Rivals: Dimensions and Capacity
Specifications | Citroen C3 | Tata Punch | Maruti Ignis | Nissan Magnite | Renault Kiger |
Length | 3981 mm | 3827 mm | 3700 mm | 3994 mm | 3991 mm |
Width | 1733 mm | 1742 mm | 1690 mm | 1758 mm | 1750 mm |
Height | 1586 mm | 1615 mm | 1595 mm | 1572 mm | 1600 mm |
Wheelbase | 2540 mm | 2445 mm | 2435 mm | 2500 mm | 2500 mm |
Ground Clearance | 180 mm | 187 mm | 180 mm | 205 mm | 205 mm |
Boot Space | 315 litres | 366 litres | 260 litres | 336 litres | 405 litres |
Fuel Tank Capacity | 30 litres | 37 litres | 32 litres | 40 litres | 40 litres |
As one can see in the above table, the Citroen C3 isn’t the longest, widest or tallest car in its segment. In terms of boot space too, it lacks against the competition. However, its major USP is that it has a class-leading wheelbase of 2,540 mm which is even longer than the sub-compact SUVs like the new Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, etc. If that’s not all, the all-new C3 even gets several smart and usable storage spaces inside the cabin.
