There is a new bobber in town — the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350. Priced at Rs 2.35 lakh onwards, it takes the fight to Jawa’s front door, calling out for the Perak. This is the first time Royal Enfield has taken the fight to someone else’s door and this time, Jawa has a strong contender. Here’s how the new Royal Enfield Classic Goan compares against the Jawa Perak in terms of specifications.
Royal Enfield Goan Classic vs Jawa Perak — It’s all about style
The Goan Classic is probably the coolest-looking motorcycle in the 350cc range and adding to that are the colour options. The Goan Classic 350 is based on the Classic 350 platform, sharing most components like the tank, fenders, side boxes, and headlight housing. The motorcycle gets an ape-hanger bar, forward-set pegs, LED lights, telescopic forks, disc brakes at both ends, a 16-inch rear wheel, and dual-channel ABS.

The Jawa Perak has been around for a while and the motorcycle was a lone contender in the segment. The Perak takes a slightly different approach to the design with more modernity like the hidden rear suspension and the floating seat design. The Perak sports similar equipment to that of the Royal Enfield Classic Goan. While the Enfield is all flashy in terms of colours, the Perak takes a more stealthy approach.
Royal Enfield Goan Classic vs Jawa Perak — Engine specifications
Both motorcycles are powered by a single-cylinder engine, however, the Royal Enfield Classic Goan uses an air-cooled unit while the Jawa Perak gets a liquid-cooled engine. The other difference is the gearbox — the Classic Goan’s 5-speed vs the Perak’s 6-speed. The result of all this is more power and torque on the Perak.
