Bajaj joins hands with Indian Armed Forces for Dare Square rally

The expedition aims to propagate the Chief of the Naval Staff’s message of ‘Mental Health and Wellness’, encouraging individuals to prioritize emotional well-being and resilience.

Bajaj Auto has joined hands with the Indian Armed Forces for a 13-day joint rally from Visakhapatnam to Ayodhya called Dare2 (Dare Square). Armed with the flagship Pulsar –  the NS400Z, 1500 riders from the Indian Navy will traverse 1600 km from Visakhapatnam to Ayodhya.

The Dare Square rally was flagged off by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, AVSM, NM, Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command from the Eastern Fleet Headquarters in Visakhapatnam before proceeding towards the INS Chilka in Odisha, one India’s salient maritime defense fronts. 

The rally is being organised to celebrate the INS Ranvijay’s, an active Rajput-class destroyer, 37th Anniversary and fosters a strong affiliation with the Dogra Regiment of the Indian Army.The entourage of bike riders will traverse across the country to INS Chilka, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Gaya, and Varanasi, before culminating at the Dogra Regiment in Ayodhya on Republic Day. This ride allows the Armed Forces to connect with local communities to build awareness about the Indian Navy and motivate the youth to serve their nation with the highest honors. The rally will culminate at the Dogra Regiment in Ayodhya on the 26th of January, 2025 underscoring the armed force’s role in strengthening unity and upholding the ‘daring’ spirit on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day.

Speaking of Pulsar NS400Z, the flagship Pulsar is powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor used in the Dominar 400 and the older-gen KTM 390 range. This motor pumps out 39.5 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

The 400cc naked streetfighter is based on the same perimeter frame as Pulsar NS200 which is suspended on golden coloured 43mm upside-down front forks, and a rear mono-shock. Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at both ends aided by dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels which are shod with 110/70 R17 front and 140/70 R17.
