Ather Energy has launched its 2025 450 lineup, available in three variants, starting at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The refreshed 450 series comes with upgraded features and exciting new colour options. Here are five reasons why the new 450 could be your ideal electric scooter.
2025 Ather 450: Multi-Mode Traction Control
The multi-mode traction control system enhances rider safety by preventing slips on low-friction surfaces. It ensures better control and stability by synchronizing the front and rear tyres. With three modes—Rain, Road, and Rally—each tailored for specific riding conditions, the system offers versatile performance. Rain Mode maximizes grip on wet and slippery roads, Road Mode strikes a balance between safety and performance, while Rally Mode is designed for off-road adventures. The Multi-Mode Traction Control is available on the 450X and 450 Apex variants.
2025 Ather 450: MagicTwist
The MagicTwist is a standout feature that allows riders to decelerate the scooter with ease, offering better control and a more convenient riding experience. By twisting the throttle forward to accelerate and reversing the twist to modulate deceleration, riders can manage speed at all charge levels. The system integrates seamlessly with the regenerative braking to bring the scooter to a smooth stop. Initially exclusive to the 450 Apex and Rizta Z, the MagicTwist is now available on the 2025 450X.
2025 Ather 450: New AtherStack 6 OS
The latest version of Ather’s software engine, the AtherStack 6, which has a host of features such as Google Maps based navigation system, Alexa, WhatsApp notification on the dashboard, allowing the rider to access messages without having to take out their smartphones. Ather also provides Ping My Scooter, so the rider can easily locate the scooters at a parking lot with sound and visual cues and Live location.
2025 Ather 450: Specs and Fast Charge
Tne 2025 Ather 450 range offers three trims starting from the 450S, 450X 2.9 kWh and 450X 3.7 kWh. The mid-level model is now equipped with fast charging Ather Duo function that juices up the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in 3 hours. With new MRF Zapper N e-Tred multi-compound tyres, this has enhanced the Ather 450’s range further.

2025 Ather 450: Price
The entry-level 450S is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, the 450X 2.9 kWh at Rs 1.47 lakh and the 450X 3.7 kWh available at Rs 1.57 lakh, all ex-showroom Bengaluru. There is also the Ather 450 Apex that comes with the Pro Pack, which is priced at Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom Bengaluru.
