Mumbai’s first underground metro set to start operations in July
Mumbai is set to launch its first underground metro line in July, spanning 33.5 km and aiming to alleviate traffic congestion. The project, which has faced delays due to the pandemic, will operate 260 services daily with speeds of up to 90 km per hour. The first phase will connect Aarey Colony to BKC, with the entire project expected to be completed within the next eight months.
