September Auto Sales 2025 Live Updates: Tata Motors recorded strong sales in September 2025 across both commercial and passenger vehicle categories. The company’s total commercial vehicle (CV) sales jumped 19% year-on-year to 35,862 units. Domestic CV sales rose 16% to 33,148 units.
In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, Tata Motors posted a sharp rise with 60,907 units sold, up 47%, while domestic PV sales grew 45% to 59,667 units. Electric vehicles (EVs) were the standout, with sales nearly doubling — up 96% at 9,191 units. For the second quarter of FY26 (July–September), Tata Motors reported total CV sales of 94,681 units, a 12% increase, with domestic CV sales up 9% year-on-year.

We have also witnessed highest-ever domestic SUV sales penetration in the history of the Company at 72.4%, with CRETA scoring the highest-ever monthly sales at 18,861 units. Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 5.1 lakh units in September, up 9% year-on-year. Two-wheeler sales grew 8% to 4.3 lakh units, driven by domestic sales up 4% at 3.25 lakh units and exports surging 18% to 1.85 lakh units. Commercial vehicle sales also climbed 15% to 79,650 units, reflecting strong festive demand and robust market performance across segments.

Commercial vehicle sales for the half-year stood at 3,87,579 units, a 14% increase over 3,39,435 units last year. Domestic sales were flat at 2,49,681 units versus 2,48,034, while exports recorded a sharp 51% jump to 1,37,898 units from 91,401 units in the year-ago period.
In the commercial vehicle category, overall sales increased 15% to 79,651 units, up from 69,042 units last year. Domestic commercial vehicle sales were stable at 52,064 units versus 52,554 units in September 2024, but exports surged 67% to 27,587 units, compared to 16,488 units a year ago.
Bajaj Auto posted a steady sales performance in September 2025, with domestic two-wheeler sales rising 5% to 2,73,188 units, compared to 2,59,333 units a year ago. Exports in this segment showed stronger momentum, climbing 12% to 1,57,665 units from 1,41,156 in September 2024.
For the April–September 2025 period, Bajaj Auto sold a total of 24,05,357 units, reflecting a 4% year-on-year growth. Two-wheeler sales reached 20,17,778 units, up slightly from 19,84,125 units in the same period last year. While domestic two-wheeler sales fell 8% to 11,25,920 units, exports grew strongly by 17% to 8,91,858 units.
