How much chrome is too much chrome? Turns out, to these custom bike builders, no amounts of shine is too much. We've put together four custom-built Royal Enfield motorcycles that use steel and chrome as the theme and prove that these can be used to build some great-looking motos. The only trouble is your eyes will be dazzled if the bike's parked in the sun and there's no way you can ride these without paying attention to your wardrobe.

With no beginning and no end," Bandit9 write about their cafe racer built on a Continental GT 535. The build was commissioned by Royal Enfield, Arthur was completely hand-built as this curvy and unconventional cafe racer. (Photo: Bandit9)

Goes by the name of Merlin, this hardtail custom job based on a Bullet 500 is a shining star on Bandit9's CV. The fran, headlamp, forks, handlebar, grips, exhaust, fenders, brake & clutch levers, footpegs, disc brakes, air filter are all custom, along with several others. Engine, power, torque, remain the same from that of a Bullet 500 at 27.2 hp. Limited to nine and priced the same as Arthur above. (Photo: Bandit9)

The Custom Chrome 500 by Bull City Customs is a bare bones Bobber styled motorcycle with minimalistic details and having just the powertrain and a naked design. The clip on handlebar replicates the old school Bobber styled motorcycles that were specifically designed for drag races. The detailing on the engine, fuel tank and other metallic parts is a heavy doze of chrome, save for the carburetor which has a copper finish. The seat too continues with the minimalistic approach and has a very thin padding and seems apt for someone who wants an old-school bare-bones motorcycle.

A Royal Enfield Bullet 500 custom-built by Kromworks, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, is unlike any cafe racer design with a mix of retro and futuristic styling. Royal Enfield Indonesia approached the custom house for this build, handing them a brand new Bullet 500. The team custom-built the frame, swingarm and fork assembly, and replaced the rims with skinny 21" ones. Nothing from the original Royal Enfield remains. (Photo: kromworks/Facebook)
