Tata Motors is going to launch the much-awaited all-electric Harrier on June 3. The Harrier will be the first full-sized SUV EV, which will go up against the Mahindra XEV 9e. The Harrier EV is going to be the fourth EV SUV in the Tata Motors lineup after the Nexon EV, Punch EV and the Curvv EV. The Harrier EV officially broke cover at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Tata Harrier EV: Features

The Harrier EV will carry forward the features available in its internal combustion engine version. It will boast of a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer, a dual-zone climate control, voice-assisted panoramic sun, front ventilated seats, powered tailgate, ambient lights and connected technology.

Tata Harrier EV: Summon Mode

The Summon Mode lets you move the Harrier EV back and forth with the help of the key fob. This feature is quite helpful as it lets the SUV drive out of tight spaces where you won’t be able to open the door and enter the car.

The Harrier EV offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) that gives an option to utilise the EV’s battery to power external devices, kitchen appliances and even a mobile generator. The Vehicle-to-Vehicle feature allows the Tata SUV to charge another electric vehicle, which helps in driving away any range anxiety.

Tata Harrier EV: Safety

The Harrier EV will come standard with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The EV SUV will come with the state-of-the-art Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2, including Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Steering Assist with Lane Centring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward and Rear Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and High Beam Assist, etc.

Tata Harrier EV: Specifications and Range

Tata Motors has not revealed the motor or the battery capacity of the upcoming Harrier EV, though the company has confirmed a claimed driving range of over 500 km. Tata Motors is not shying away from off-roading, hence, the Harrier EV will get an all-wheel-drive option. Based on the born electric Acti.ev architecture, Tata Motors is also focused on comfort, therefore, it will be equipped with a multi-link rear suspension.

Tata Harrier EV: Expected Price and Competition

Based on how competitively Tata Motors has priced the Nexon EV and the Punch EV, the Harrier EV could start from Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom. This price range will put it against the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3.
