As we roll into the year-end, carmakers are busy preparing to launch a list of vehicles in 2024, and Tata Motors has an interesting list of vehicles. As the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari have seen updates recently, and 2024 looks more interesting for the carmaker as the company is readying multiple electric vehicle launches.
Tata Harrier/Safari EVs
The Tata Harrier and Safafri have seen decent success in the Indian market and the two share a lot in common — platform, engine, and more. However, they are offered in ICE forms alone and with the success of Tata’s EV range, the carmaker will be launching electric versions of the SUVs.
The Tata Harrier EV already made its debut at the Auto Expo earlier this year, and similar to the Nexon, the Harrier could be offered with two battery packs and an all-wheel-drive system. Not many details are known at the moment, but expect more details in the coming days.
Tata Punch EV
Tata’s entry-level offerings, the Tiago and Tigor are available in electric versions, and so is Tata’s best-seller, the Nexon. However, the carmaker’s second-best-seller, the Punch is available with an internal combustion engine only, and to cater to a wider customer base, an electric version is what’s needed.
Tata will launch an all-electric version of the Punch this year, as it faces immense competition from the Hyundai Exter. The Tata Punch EV will most probably have the same battery pack as the Tigor, offering a range of around 300km on a full charge.
Tata Curvv
The Tata Curvv concept was showcased last year and has been an ambitious project for the carmaker. Some of its designs have made it to the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, and now, Tata has plans to launch the production version of the Curvv.
The all-new vehicle from Tata Motors has been spotted testing on several occasions, and going by the reports, the Tata Curvv will be available in ICE and electric versions, similar to the Nexon. The Curvv is expected to go into production in April 2024, followed by its launch around June.
