Skoda launched the Kylaq a couple of months back at a competitive starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), which was one of its key USPs. However, a few days after the bookings for the subcompact SUV commenced, Skoda had to stop accepting orders for the base variant  around mid-December.

At that time, the Czech carmaker had received 10,000 bookings for the Kylaq. The company also announced that the first batch of sub-4 metre SUV will be delivered only from May 2-25 onwards. Now, a recent Autocar India report reveals that the Volkswagen sister brand will soon accept orders for the base variant of Kylaq.
