JSW MG Motor marked a significant moment when the company was able to deliver 101 units of the Windsor from a single showroom in Surat, Gujarat. This mega event represents one of the biggest car deliveries in Surat.
The fully-electric crossover has recorded sales of more than 10,500 units since its launch in September 2024. The Windsor EV became the best-selling EV for three consecutive months in October, November, and December 2024 consecutively. The CUV achieved a significant industry milestone, becoming the first passenger EV in India to reach 15,176 bookings within 24 hours of its launch.
The Windsor is available in three trims: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. Powering the MG Windsor EV is a 38kWh LFP battery with prismatic cells sending energy to a single electric motor mounted on the front axle. The motor returns an output of 134 bhp and 200 Nm torque. Estimated range on a single charge is 331 km (ARAI). There are four drive modes on offer: Eco, Eco+, Normal and Sport.
MG Windsor EV: Specs & Features
MG Motor is offering multiple charging options with the Windsor EV. This includes a 3.3 kW CCS2 connection that takes 13.8 hours for the battery to rejuvenate. Other charging options available are 7.4 kW and 50 kW, which take 6.5 hours and 55 minutes, respectively. The battery on offer in Windsor EV can be charged up to 45 kW DC fast charger. Moreover, MG is offering the battery as a service (BaaS) to the customer at a rate of Rs 3.5 per km.
In terms of features, the Windsor boasts of a 15.6-inch infotainment system, the largest in its class, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a back seat with 135-degree recline, electrically adjustable front seats, and rear AC vents.
Additional premium features include a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 256 multi-color cabin ambient lights, a 9-speaker Infinity sound system, wireless phone charging, powered tailgate, etc.
