For the first time, the updated version of the Mahindra Thar 3-door was caught testing. The company has not officially stated anything about the SUV, but it is expected to make its debut in the upcoming festive time. With so much noise around the new Thar Roxx, many have forgotten that the OG last received its update almost 5 years ago. The spy images only reveal the Thar’s rear.

Mahindra Thar 3-door: What to expect?

The test mule of the Thar 3-door was semi-cladded and reveals its typical hard top cover with a squarish rear design. The tailgate continues to sport a mounted spare wheel while the rear window open like a flap. Based on the camouflaged stickers, the Thar 3-door will get new front wheel arches, tail lamps and bumpers. Even though the spy images don’t reveal the front of the Thar, it is expected to get an updated grille, LED headlights, front bumper and alloy wheels.

The 3-door Thar is expected to borrow some premium features from its sibling, the Roxx. It could sport twin 10.25-inch screens — an infotainment system and an all-digital instrument cluster. It could also come with a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and climate control.
