Hyundai Motor India, the second largest by market share, registered total sales of 68,728 units in October. Total sales include domestic sales of 55,128 units and export of 13,600 units. It’s domestic sales rose 14% YoY on the back of steady demand for its recent launches.
Commenting on the October sales numbers, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India said, “As we enter the peak of festive season in India, Hyundai Motor India registered robust sales number of 55 128 units in the domestic market in the month of October. The recent announcement of standardizing of 6 airbags across all Hyundai models and variants has been extremely well received by our valued customers. Also, the supply situation is back to full normalcy”
Hyundai’s exports though have seen slight decline on a month-on-month basis, there is a steady upmove at the year-on-year level. Hyundai Motor India also continues to be a key part of Hyundai Motor Company’s export hub with exports from the Chennai facility spanning 88 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Latam.
