Hyundai has added two new variants of Exter into the lineup. Called S Smart and SX Smart, the new variants have been thoughtfully curated to attract a wider range of prospective buyers by giving them more options. The S Smart trim is placed between the EX(O) and the S trim whereas the SX Smart trim is slotted in between the S+ and SX trim.
Hyundai Exter: New variants added
Both variants offer a combination of advanced safety and convenience features, complemented by spacious and comfortable interiors. Additionally, HMIL is now standardising Child seat anchor – ISOFIX for Exter, ensuring easy child seat installation and providing a comprehensive safety package for the entire family.
Commenting on the introduction of new variants, Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “At HMIL, we are committed to democratizing technology and making meaningful innovations accessible to a wider set of customers. The introduction of S Smart and SX Smart variants on the Hyundai EXTER is a reflection of this customer centric philosophy.”
Hyundai has added features such as an electric sunroof, LED taillamp, a tyre pressure monitoring system, 15-inch steels, rear AC vents, and LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) to the S Smart trim. The SX trim is better equipped with features such as smart key with push button start, electric sunroof, 15-inch steel wheels, sharkfin antenna, tyre pressure monitoring system, and projector headlamp.
On top of this, both variants have the option to upgrade to a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, along with a rear camera, available as genuine accessories at a special customer price of Rs. 14,999. Hyundai Exter: Powertrain
The new variants are available in both manual and AMT transmissions, in petrol and Hy-CNG Duo powertrains. Powering Hyundai Exter is the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that kicks out 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
