2022 Honda City Hybrid e:HEV India Unveil Highlights: Honda Cars India has unveiled the hybrid version of its best-selling mid-size sedan, City, in the country. The all-new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV is the first strong hybrid mass-market car in the Indian market. Based on the fifth-generation Honda City, which is currently on sale in the Indian market, the new Honda City e:HEV is similar to its Thai-spec counterpart. Bookings for the same are now open. One can book the car online on the company’s official website or by visiting their nearest dealership. It has been offered in India in a sole fully-loaded ZX variant.
The new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV boasts hi-tech features, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with safety features like blind-spot detection, emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and more. It is powered by a 97 hp 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with a 108 hp electric motor. The combined power output of this powertrain is 124 hp while the torque stands at 253 Nm. Also, with a claimed mileage figure of 26.5 kmpl, the new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV is the most fuel-efficient sedan in India. It is expected to cost Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom.
