The sub-4-meter compact sedan segment has seen a wave of new entries, including the all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the 2025 Honda Amaze. While the segment’s revival might seem like a stretch, it’s important to evaluate the standout features offered by each model before making a decision. Here, we compare the top features of the new Dzire against what the Amaze lacks, highlighting what sets these two sedans apart.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze: Infotainment system
The top-of-line model of the Dzire, ZXI Plus, comes equipped with a 9-inch floating touchscreen with Arkamys surround sound system including six speakers. The Amaze comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment with a six-speaker music system. Both the cars offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze: Charging options
Both the Dzire and the Amaze offer a wireless phone charger tucked in the centre console, but the Maruti Suzuki offers multiple USB ports for front and rear passengers. At the front, the Dzire gets a USB port and a 12V socket while in the rear, there are two fast charging ports — USB and Type C. Honda has missed out on as the rear passengers only get a 12V socket, but in the front there are two USB slots. What is slightly shocking is that the Amaze does not get any Type C ports.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze: Sunroof
Maruti Suzuki has an ace up its sleeve by being the first car in the segment to offer a sunroof. This is no doubt one of the most popular features car buyers look for. Honda missed a trick here as the Amaze does not offer this feature. When asked Honda why they decided to skip it, the company said that they wanted to focus more on safety. Hence, the Amaze is the most affordable vehicle that offers Level 2 ADAS function.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze: 360-degree camera
When it comes to making parking easier, the Dzire stands out with its 360-degree camera, offering a view from all angles. The Amaze, while lacking this feature, compensates with a three-camera setup. This includes a blind spot monitoring camera located beneath the left outside rearview mirror, a camera-based ADAS, and a rear parking camera.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Honda Amaze: Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
The new Dzire is the only vehicle that is equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system. This is an essential safety feature. The Amaze doesn’t offer this in its standard equipment list, but it can be opted for as an option feature.
