Tata Motors has revealed the Altroz Racer at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The Altroz Racer was also showcased at the Auto Expo last year. The Altroz Racer is one power-packed hatchback with racing colours. The camouflaged testing mule has been spotted on the roads and we expect to make its debut soon.
Tata Altroz Racer: Performance
The Altroz Racer will be the most powerful hatchback in Tata Motors’ portfolio. It gets the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine from the Nexon that has an output of 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. It will only be available with a six-speed manual transmission.
Tata Altroz Racer: Design
According to Tata Motors, the Altroz Race’s design is inspired by a race car. Hence, the name. The sports dual-tone paint scheme in a red and black combination. The Altroz Racer gets twin white racing stripes on the bonnet and the roof. It sports newly designed 16-inch all-black diamond cut alloy wheels. To further differentiate it from the standard Altroz, it also has Racer badging.
Tata Altroz Racer: Interiors and Features
Tata Motors has spruced up the cabin with all-black leatherette upholstery with red switching. It also comes with three racing stripes in red and white. It gets additional red inserts on the dashboard and the gearbox. The Altroz Racer is fully loaded with features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch driver’s console, voice-activated sunroof, front ventilated seats, rear AC vents and a wireless phone charger.
Based on the Alfa architecture, the Altroz is awarded a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The Altroz Racer will get six airbags as a standard feature.
