Toyota is all geared up to launch the all-new Camry in India on December 11. The Japanese auto giant has shared a couple of teasers on its social media handles and official website. The upcoming ninth-generation Camry made its global debut in November 2023, and is already on sale on several international markets.
The latest teaser shows a partial glimpse of the new Camry along with the tagline “Elegance at Every Glance”. It is no secret that design has always been the strongest attribute of Camry over the years and Toyota wants to keep this tradition alive. Based on the TNGA–K platform, the upcoming Camry looks drastically different from its predecessor.
2025 Toyota Camry: Expected Design
The recent images reveal a completely redesigned front face with a sharp nose section and U-shaped LED DRLs. Officially known as Camry XV80, the latest iteration of the premium executive saloon gets a sleeker grille paired with redesigned LED headlights featuring integrated DRLs, along with a reshaped front bumper that incorporates wider air intakes. The side profile highlights a streamlined roofline, a sculpted body, and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in black and smoke grey finishes.
The rear of the new Camry is sleek and sporty, featuring wraparound LED taillights, a rear lip spoiler, and a redesigned diffuser with dual-tip exhaust. Other notable exterior elements include a shark-fin antenna, chrome “CAMRY” lettering, and a new clamshell hood. The design draws inspiration from the US-spec Prius.
2025 Toyota Camry: Expected Features
The next-gen Camry will be loaded with all the bells and whistles, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless charging, a premium 9-speaker JBL audio system, WiFi with 4G connectivity, and connected car technology with over-the-air updates. For added comfort, heated and ventilated seats are available.
Toyota will also equip the Camry with Safety Sense 3.0, a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features. This includes a 360-degree parking camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and pedestrian detection.
2025 Toyota Camry: Expected Powertrain
The new Camry will retain its 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain, available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The front-wheel-drive model utilizes two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors at the front axle, producing a combined output of 222 bhp. The all-wheel-drive variant adds an additional electric motor to the rear axle, resulting in a combined output of 229 bhp.
Both powertrains are paired with an eCVT automatic transmission. Toyota has yet to disclose specific details about the battery pack capacity and the vehicle’s all-electric range
