Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the popular hatchback Swift and will launch it at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo. With this, the company has also started accepting bookings for the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift at an amount of Rs 11,000. It is also expected that with an increasing demand of the popular hatchback the Swift will get a waiting period of 6 to 8 weeks. The third generation Swift gets upgrades in exterior and interiors.The 2018 Swift will come with the existing powertrain including a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual and AGS transmission. The new Swift is 40mm wider and 20mm longer than the existing Swift and it now measures 3,840mm in length,1735mm in width, 1530mm in height, 2450mm in wheelbase and 163mm ground clearance. The new Swift also gets an increased boot space of by 58 litres, which is now measures at 268 litres. The third generation Swift comes in 4 variants with both getting automatic transmission. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is available in six colours- Red, White, Blue, Silver, Grey and new Orange Colour. For the safety, the new Swift get ABS with EBD dual airbags, ISOFIX and front set belt with Pre-Tensioner as standard across all the variants. As for prices, the 2018 Swift will be priced around Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 7.30 lakh for petrol versions, while Rs 6.20 lakh to Rs 8.30 lakh for diesel versions.
