Simple Energy has launched an updated iteration of the One. Initially launched in August 2021, Simple calls this version of the electric scooter One Gen 1.5. Let us take a look at all the key updates, made in the latest version of the One electric scooter.
2025 Simple One: Improved Range
In the new Simple One, Simple Energy is claiming an extended range of 248 km on a single charge. The previous version of the scooter offered a single-charge IDC range of 212 km. However, Simple hasn’t made any changes in battery capacity but tweaked the battery algorithm which has resulted in the improved range. The One continues to draw energy from two battery packs: a floor-mounted 3.7kWh unit and a portable 1.3kWh pack.
2025 Simple One: More features
The Bengaluru-based EV startup has made significant features additions to the latest edition of One thanks to a major software update. The company has integrated cutting-edge smart technology and connectivity features, including an app that offers real-time data, remote access, and ride analytics. Riders can now enjoy seamless navigation with built-in turn-by-turn maps, while customizable dashboard themes, automatic brightness adjustment, and personalized alerts elevate the riding experience.
Additionally, advanced features such as regenerative braking for enhanced efficiency, rapid braking, and a tyre pressure monitoring system bolsters safety and ride control. The new park assist function, supporting both forward and reverse movement, adds extra convenience, making maneuvering in tight spaces effortless.
2025 Simple One: Unchanged Performance
Performance of the Simple One remains unchanged. Powering the Simple One is an 8.5kW motor that produces a peak output of 11.4 bhp and 72 Nm. This scooter accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds while offering a top speed of 105 kmph.
2025 Simple One: Colour options
The new Simple One is available in as many as four monotone and two dual-tone colours with the 2025 Simple One. These are Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White, Brazen X and Light X.
2025 Simple One: Price & Availability
Despite so many updates, Simple Energy hasn’t made any changes to the pricing of the One as it continues to carry a price tag of Rs 1.66 lakh (ex-showroom). This price includes a complimentary 750W charger. As of now, the Simple One is available for sale across 10 stores in centres like Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, and Kochi. The company has also revealed that it will expand its presence nationwide across 23 states with 150 new stores and 200 service centres in the near future.
