The hype around any new Royal Enfield launch is unreal and this is courtesy its strong global positioning as a motorcycle brand. Hence, the Chennai-based bikemaker is utilising its image to its best advantage and launching its next model in Spain. Slated to make its debut on 17 July, the Guerilla 450 is the company’s next big bet in the middleweight space.
Based on the new-gen Himalayan 450, Royal Enfield recently teased the Guerilla 450 on its social media handles revealing plenty of details. Later, leaked images of a TV commercial for the 450cc roadster gave insights about the motorcycle’s colour options, variants, and features.
Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 specs leak
Now, a recent online media report has leaked some critical specifications about the Guerilla 450. According to a new report by RushLane, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will measure 2,134 mm in length, 834 mm in width, 1,115 mm in height, and pack a 1,491 mm long wheelbase. This makes Guerrilla 450 111 mm smaller, 18 mm narrower, 201 mm shorter in height, and 19 mm shorter in wheelbase, as compared to the Himalayan 450.
Further, the report mentions that the Guerilla 450 weighs 183 kg (kerb) which makes it 13 kilos lighter than Himalayan 450 and only 2 kilos heavier than Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The report further suggests that Guerrilla 450 will get a 120-section front and 160-section rear tyre which will most likely be wrapped around 17-inch alloy wheels.
Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 design
As seen in previous spy images and teasers, Guerilla retains some signature Royal Enfield styling cues such as a round headlamp, an off-set circular instrument console, and round rear view mirrors. However, most of the components are brand new like the chiselled yet muscular fuel tank, a floating tail section, a single-piece seat, split grab rails, an underbelly bash plate, and a stubby exhaust muffler, just like the one seen in Himalayan 450.
In terms of features, the top-spec trim will get the same fully-digital instrument console as the Himalayan 450 which gets in-built navigation by Google Maps, and Bluetooth connectivity with call and text alerts, music playback and multiple ride modes. The lower-spec variants will come with a simpler semi-digital setup seen in Meteor 350, and Super Meteor 650 which could get Tripper Navigation as an optional accessory. Other expected features include LED headlights, LED winkers, multiple ride modes, and a USB charging port.
Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 engine specs
It can safely be assumed that Guerilla 450 will be using the same 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Sherpa series engine as Himalayan but tuning will defer from the adventure tourer. As per the recent report, in Guerilla 450 this motor will kick out 39.52 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. While the output remains similar, in Guerilla this motor might get a different engine mapping. Transmission duties will be carried out by a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
