Honda, after patenting the CBR500R and the CB500 Hornet in India, has now patented its first high-capacity scooter in India. Sold as the Honda Stylo in Indonesia, the scooter is a big upgrade compared to the other scooters Honda sells in India.

The Honda Stylo is longer and wider than the Honda Activa, and it’s about time Honda brings in premium scooters to India, especially since the company has an extensive portfolio. The Stylo is available in six colours and gets full LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a keyless start option, a USB charger, and more.

Powering the Honda Stylo is a 156.9cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 15bhp and 13.8Nm of torque. The scooter gets telescopic forks, dual-channel ABS, and 12-inch wheels amongst others. If brought to India, the Honda Stylo 160 will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the upcoming Honda Xoom 160.
