Bajaj Auto, like all automakers, is updating its product line up to BS4 engine before the 1st April deadline kicks in. Having upgraded most of its lineup to BS4, in manufacturer has launched its commuter motorcycle, Discover 125 at a price of Rs 50,559, ex-showroom, Delhi. The 2017 Discover 125 gets a BS4 engine and cosmetic updates such as alloy wheels, 35 watt DC headlamp and 30 percent more wider tyre for better stability. The new Discover 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, DTS-i with ExhausTEC engine that complies BS-IV emission norms. The engine delivers 11hp of power and 10.8Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The revised price tag is higher than earlier by a little over Rs 1,400.
The Discover is available in two variants – disc and drum brakes trims and the braking duties on the disc variant are now handled by a 200mm disc at front and 130mm drum at rear. On other hand, the stopping power on the Discover 125 drum variant is provided by 130mm brakes at front and rear. The suspension duties are carried are done by 130mm telescopic forks up front and 110mm nitro gas filed twin shocks at the rear. The kerb weight motorcycle is 120.5kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 8 litres. The claimed fuel efficiency is 82.4 kmpl.
The motorcycle measures 2,035mm in length, 760mm in width, 1,087mm in height and 1,305mm at wheelbase. The 2017 Discover 125 is now available with new colour options-Ebony Black with Deep Red graphics, Ebony Black with Deep Blue graphics, Electron Blue and Flame Red.
