When MV Agusta launches a new motorcycle, there is no doubt that it will be a beautiful machine. The now KTM-owned company has announced the launch of a limited edition motorcycle called the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, a litre-class offering of the Superveloce series, which will be made in limited numbers.
MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro — What is it?
Limited to just 500 units and most of them booked already, the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro boasts a lot of carbon fibre, and the company says that the bodywork alone has 41 carbon fibre components. The motorcycle gets a full fairing and an aggressive design, while the bodywork has minimal bolts holding it in place (rather well-hidden bolts) — something MV is good at.
Behind the beautiful bodywork lies a 998cc, in-line four-cylinder engine that makes 208bhp and 117Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powered the MV Agusta Brutale series. The engine uses a lot of titanium parts, such as for the conrods and valves.
Helping tame all that power is an extensive suite of electronics such as eight levels of traction control, multiple riding modes for wet roads, dry roads, and track, along with launch control, wheelie control, lean-sensitive ABS, and fully adjustable Ohlins suspension with a steering damper.
MV Agustas are not on sale in India, after the company sold motorcycles here briefly before exiting the country. That said, even if the brand enters India in the future, buying the MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro won’t be possible, as the remaining units will be picked up quickly.
