Honda Motorcycle & Scooter has launched its first maxi scooter in India in the form of X-ADV. Priced at Rs 11.90 (ex-showroom), the Honda X-ADV will come to India as a fully-imported CBU model and available for sale exclusively in BigWing showrooms. In fact, this is the second BigWing launch this week after the Rebel 500 was launched a couple of days ago.
Pre-bookings for the maxi scooter have commenced at all Honda BigWing dealerships across India as well the BigWing website, while deliveries are slated to begin next month. The Maxi scooter is available in two bold colour options: Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black.
Commenting on the launch, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “At Honda, we constantly challenge conventions to redefine the motorcycling experience. The X-ADV is a statement of innovation and design evolution – a machine that breaks boundaries between adventure and urban mobility.”
Honda X-ADV: Design
Honda calls the X-ADV a crossover maxi scooter that blends the ruggedness of an adventure tourer with the sleekness of an urban commuter. The massive front apron houses a twin LED headlamp setup giving the scooter a sharp appearance. The cluster comes integrated with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and turn indicators.
Other visual highlights include a transparent windscreen, knuckle guards and sharp, angular body panels, split grab rails, and an upswept exhaust. The overall design feels clean, purposeful and utilitarian.
Honda X-ADV: Features
In terms of features, the X-ADV comes equipped with Honda X-ADV with a USB Type-C charging port, and a 5-inch full-colour TFT display. The instrument panel comes with Honda RoadSync app connectivity, enabling riders to receive call and SMS alerts, access turn-by-turn navigation, and control music and voice commands. It gets an underseat storage of 22 litres, whereas the seat has been reshaped for easier ground reach, while thicker urethane padding enhances long-distance comfort.
This powertrain comes with ride-by-wire throttle, offering four selectable riding modes—Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel—along with a customizable User mode. Enhancing both safety and comfort, the X-ADV also comes equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and cruise control.
Honda X-ADV: Mechanical Specs
Honda X-ADV features a rugged tubular steel frame, built to handle a wide range of road conditions with confidence. Up front, it sports 41mm USD (Upside Down) forks, while the rear is fitted with a monoshock that offers adjustable spring preload for enhanced comfort. Riding on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, it’s equally at home on pavement or dirt.
Braking power comes from dual radial-mount four-piston calipers with 296mm discs at the front and a single-piston caliper with a 240mm disc at the rear, all supported by dual-channel ABS for reliable control.
The X-ADV is powered by a 745cc liquid-cooled SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine, producing 43.1kW at 6,750rpm and 69Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. It’s paired with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) gearbox. The scooter is claimed to reach a top speed of 168 kmph.
