The new Honda Activa 125 gets a few added features compared to the model it replaces and here are the differences explained.

Honda recently updated its flagship family scooter, the Activa 125, with added features and updated the engine to meet the soon-to-be-effective OBD2B norms. That said, the scooter has also seen a price increase compared to the old one, with the 2025 version costing Rs 94,422 onwards, ex-showroom. The scooter is available in two variants and here’s how it differs compared to the model it replaces.

The new Honda Activa retains its familiar design but gets contrasting brown interior panels with a brown seat, giving it a premium feel. The scooter has six colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White.  

That said, one of the biggest updates the new Honda Activa 125 gets over the older model is the TFT instrument console, replacing the older one’s LCD unit. The new Activa gets call and message notifications on the dash, along with navigation. The phone connectivity option can be done through Honda’s dedicated app.

Honda Activa 125 new vs old — Engine specifications

The engine on the new Activa 125 remains the same, a 124cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a CVT gearbox. The engine is fuel-injected and is now also OBD2B-compliant, while it retains Honda’s start-stop system.

Honda has also retained the cycling parts such as the telescopic front suspension, alloy wheels, disc brake at the front, and a drum brake at the rear. While the price increase is considerable compared to the older one’s Rs 80,256 price tag, Honda could offer an entry-level variant with drum brakes at both ends soon.
