Hero MotoCorp is set to introduce the awaited Xtreme 200 NXT in India at an event in New Delhi tomorrow. The motorcycle was showcased in India for the first time at Auto Expo 2016 as a concept model. The invite from Hero MotoCorp says that it will be an unveiling. With Auto Expo 2018 around the corner, it can be safely assumed that the company will keep the price announcement for the biennial event. In terms of design, the new Hero Xtreme 200 NXT takes its design cues from the present day Xtreme. However, the motorcycle will most likely come with a bolder appeal to look significantly muscular than its younger sibling. The concept model showcased at the previous edition of Auto Expo had dual tone seat along with dual tone graphics and these are expected to be carried forward to the production model as well. As the name suggests, the new Hero Xtreme 200 NXT will get its power from a 200cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. Braking to the new Hero Xtreme 200 NXT will be done with the help of disc brakes at both ends. An ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is expected to be on offer at least as an option.

The suspension system of the Xtreme 200 comprises of conventional telescopic forks up front along with a monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle is expected to have a digital-analog layout in the instrument cluster, offering a host of useful information. Hero MotoCorp may or may not offer a gear position indicator in the cluster.

The new Hero Xtreme 200 NXT will challenge the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 in the Indian two-wheeler market. The bike will likely come with a price tag of close to Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). Stay tuned with us as we will bring you all the minute to minute LIVE updates straight from the launch event.
