Hero, after unveiling the new Xpulse 210 at EICMA, the motorcycle maker launched the bike at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, priced at Rs 1.75 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle gets a number of updates over the older Xpulse 200, the biggest upgrade being the engine, which makes more power now. That said, the motorcycle is available in two variants — Base and Top. Here are the key differences between them.

As mentioned earlier, the new Hero Xpulse 210 is available in two variants – Base and Top – and the biggest difference between them is the pricing. The Base variant costs Rs 1.75 lakh and the Top variant costs Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom. The two motorcycles have marginal differences in dimensions as well, as the Top variant is 8mm wider than the Base version while the former is 118mm taller than the Base variant.

Moving on to how they visually look, the Base variant of the Xpulse 210 misses out on a windscreen, knuckle guards, and luggage plate. Even in terms of ABS, the Base version gets a single-channel ABS while the range-topping model gets dual-channel ABS. And the final difference, which could be a deal-breaker for many is the instrument cluster — the Base variant gets an LCD unit and the Top variant gets a TFT dash.

The two motorcycles are based on the same platform and are suspended by telescopic front forks with 210mm travel, a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear with 205mm of travel, a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear wheel, disc brakes at both ends, projector headlight, LED turn signals, a 13-litre fuel tank, and a seat height of 830mm with a ground clearance of 220mm. So on the cycling front, they are the same, apart from the ABS feature. Both variants also get phone connectivity and navigation.

The other similarity they share – and the most important – is the engine. Power has always been the Xpulse’s Achilles’ heel and that has now been fixed. Hero has given the motorcycle a 210cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR. This engine is now mated to a 6-speed gearbox, making it more manageable on longer tarmac trips.
