Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch a new Vida electric scooter on July 1. Likely to be called Vida VX2, this electric scooter was recently teased on the company’s social media handles a couple of days ago. Now, the company has released its first TV commercial featuring actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

In the short clip, the two actors seem to recreate one of their scenes from the movie Animal where Anil played a father and Ranbir played his son. The same dynamics is seen in this video, the only catch here being that the argument is whether to bring a scooter or an EV home. The video is set to be the first of possible multiple videos of the upcoming electric scooter’s advertorial campaign.

Hero Vida VX2: What to expect?

The upcoming scooter or as Hero likes to call it “EVOOTER” was previously teased on social media where the front end of the e-scooter was partially revealed. As seen in the clip, the upcoming VX2 houses a single-piece headlamp cluster in the front apron. A few weeks ago, spy images of the upcoming Vida electric scooter went viral on the internet.

The images revealed a production-spec version of the scooter wrapped in a yellow colour scheme that revealed the design of the scooter almost entirely. The scooter features an all-black grab rail and carries over the taillight design from the Vida V2. While the switchgear on the VX2 differs slightly from that of the V2, it also includes a physical key slot.

Unlike the Vida V2’s 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster, the VX2, as seen in spy shots, comes with a smaller, more basic digital display. On a closer look, it can be seen the VX2 carrying a “Plus” suffix which indicates multiple variants for the scooter. The variants may differ in choice of battery, features, or both. The Vida VX2 will roll on the same 12-inch wheels as the V2 range.

We expect the upcoming VX2 to carry over most of the features and specifications from the V2 range. The Vida V2 range is offered in three variants: Lite, Plus, and Pro. The base Lite trim features a 2.2 kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 94 km, a top speed of 69 kmph, and two ride modes — Eco and Ride.

The mid-level Plus variant gets a larger 3.4 kWh battery, offering an IDC range of 143 km, a top speed of 85 kmph, and three ride modes — Eco, City, and Sports. The top-end Pro is equipped with a 3.9 kWh battery, providing an IDC range of 165 km and a top speed of 90 kmph, while retaining all three ride modes.
