Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch its flagship motorcycle later this month. Called Mavrick 440, this upcoming middleweight bike is based on the Harley Davidson X440. The latter has been co-developed by the Indian bikemaker at its CIT facility in Jaipur and also manufactures the bike for the iconic American brand.
As a result of this association, Hero will also launch a model based on the same platform on 23 January 2024. Recently, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India released design sketches of the upcoming bike on its social media. Hero has yet again shared a design sketch of Mavrick 440 ahead of its market launch.
Hero Mavrick 440 sketch: Styling
The latest sketch teases the design and styling of the middleweight machine. The teaser image partially reveals the silhouette of Mavrick 440 which gets a beefy fuel tank with extended tank shrouds, giving the bike a muscular and sharp appearance. Another prominent highlight is the slanted nestle around the circular headlamp that adds a neo-retro vibe.

The headlamp also gets a familiar H-shaped LED DRL seen in recent Hero MotoCorp launches. The single-piece seat offers a flat profile and generous real estate for the pillion. Other visual highlights include chunky grab rail, alloy wheels, an engine sump guard, and a side-slung exhaust muffler.
Hero Mavrick 440 sketch: Expected specs, features
Underpinnings and powertrain in Mavrick 440 will be borrowed from Harley Davidson X440. Suspension setup is likely to comprise 43mm KYB USD telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS. We also expect Hero to offer features like TFT instrument panel, Bluetooth connectivity, location alerts, etc.

Powering Mavrick 440 is the same 440cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, two-valve, SOHC engine as the Harley Davidson X440. This motor pushes out 27 bhp and 38 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
