After a long wait, buyers of the Harley Davidson X440 will finally get their hands on their prized possessions. Hero MotoCorp, the official partner for Harley Davidson in India, has announced that deliveries of the X440 will begin from October 15 which also happens to be the auspicious first day of the Navratri festival.
Speaking on this development, Niranjan Gupta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hero MotoCorp said, “The Harley-Davidson X440 continues to create excitement across the country. We are all geared up to add a lot of festive cheer by commencing deliveries of the Harley Davidson X440 to our customers from the first day of the Navratri. This is just the beginning in our winning the premium journey.”
Harley Davidson X440 bookings to commence again
Currently, bookings for the X440 are on hold. Through a press release, Hero has stated that the next round of bookings for the X440 will commence from October 16. The fresh round of bookings is applicable for the updated prices of X440 starting at Rs 2.40 lakh and going up to Rs 2.80 lakh (both ex-showroom).

The X440 is currently being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing facility— called the Garden Factory— at Neemrana in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. The company has been organising test rides for pre-booked customers since 1 September 2023.
The bike was launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 2.30 lakh earlier in July this year. Hero claims it has received over 25,000 bookings for the X440 and that the top-spec ‘S’ variant accounts for about 65 percent of that number. The X440 is available in three trims namely Denim, Vivid, and S. It can be had in four colour schemes including Matte Black, Vivid Dark Silver, Mustard Denim, and Vivid Thick Red.
As for powertrain, Harley Davidson X440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 27bhp and 38 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It is underpinned by a steel trellis frame which is suspended by KYB upside-down forks and dual springs. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
