BMW R 12 nineT: Features
The BMW R 12 nineT is a classic motorcycle that sports a boxy aluminium tank with brushed and clear-coated side panels, along with the seat and tail hump, which forms a rising, dynamic contour. This emphasis on fundamental design is complemented by the compact and abbreviated rear. The reduced fuel tank, now 30 mm shorter and slimmer at the back, offers markedly enhanced ergonomics and a seating position that is more forward-facing than that of its predecessor. The single-sided swingarm, a peashooter-style dual exhaust, traditional spoke wheels and the signature protruding cylinder heads of the boxer engine make the R 12 nineT a unique retro motorcycle.
The R 12 NineT comes equipped with a Headlight Pro headlamp for better nighttime illumination and a Keyless Ride system. In terms of hardware, the R 12 nineT features upside-down telescopic forks with a 45 mm slider tube diameter.
The all-new R 12 nineT gets a twin disc brake on the front wheel, equipped with two radially mounted 4-piston monobloc brake calipers and a 310 mm diameter for reliable and effective braking power. The rear wheel utilizes a single disc brake with a 2-piston floating caliper and a 265 mm diameter. Standard on the all-new R 12 models is the BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, which enhances safety during cornering by providing ABS-supported braking while leaning into turns.
