Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been actively refreshing its lineup since the end of 2024, and now, the Activa has received a significant update. The scooter, which remains the best-selling model in the market, has undergone several improvements for 2025. It is now OBD2B-compliant, marking a significant step towards stricter emissions standards. Additionally, Honda has dropped the “6G” moniker, and instead of calling it the 7G, the updated model will simply be known as the Activa. Here’s why the 2025 Activa continues to hold its position as the undisputed king of scooters.
2025 Honda Activa: Engine
The 2025 Honda Activa is powered by an upgraded 109.51 cc engine, now OBD2B-compliant. This new system allows the scooter to provide real-time emission data through its On-Board Diagnostic system, ensuring cleaner rides. Honda claims that the updated engine is more fuel-efficient, thanks to the inclusion of an idling stop system. The powertrain delivers 7.88 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.05 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
2025 Honda Activa: New TFT Display
The standard 2025 Activa now features a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console, following in the footsteps of the updated Activa 125. This display can be paired with the Honda RoadSync app via Bluetooth, offering features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and text notifications, music streaming, real-time weather updates, and even voice commands. Additionally, for added convenience, the Activa now includes a USB Type-C port for fast charging. The mid-level DLX variant also gets a stylish upgrade with alloy wheels.
2025 Honda Activa: Variants and Colour Options
Honda has revealed that the 2025 Activa is available in three trims — STD, DLX and H-Smart. The Japanese two wheeler giant is offering six paint schemes for the new Activa — Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.
2025 Honda Activa: Hardware
Honda has stuck with the successful formula that has made the Activa a leader in the Indian scooter market. The STD variant comes with a halogen headlamp, while the DLX and H-Smart trims feature full LED lighting. The Activa maintains a practical 162 mm ground clearance and a spacious 692 mm seat length for added comfort. There are no changes to the suspension system, which continues with telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable rear suspension, ensuring a smooth and stable ride.
