German Automaker, Mercedes-Benz India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018 has showcased the Mercedes-Benz E-Class all terrain in India along with the launch of luxurious Mercedes-Benz S650 Maybach in India and has also for the first time showcased the Mercedes-Benz EQ electric SUV concept. Mercedes-Benz E-Class all terrain will make its market debut later in 2018 and the Mercedes-Maybach S650 costs Rs 2.73 crore (Ex-showroom). Mercedes-Benz motto for 2018 is ‘Best Keeps Leading’ and the company was also the number one luxury car maker in 2017 by selling over 15,000 units in one year. At Auto Expo 2018, Mercedes-Benz has showcased three all-new products and also plans an aggressive 2018. On display is also the Mercedes’ F1 car that won the 2017 Formula 1 championship along with its AMG performance cars including the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R.
Auto Expo 2018: Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain:
Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the most popular and most sold product for the company in India and the New generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheel Base version as launched in 2017 and now the company has showcased and launched E-Class All Terrain at the Auto Expo 2018. The new version of E-Class the sedan now gets 4MATIC all-wheel drive as a standard feature and also gets an increased ground clearance than the standard version of Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The company says that it uses Air Body Control multi- chamber air suspension to improve its performance on rough roads.
Inside the Mercedes-Benz E-Class all-terrain being showcased at Auto Expo 2018 features an all-new interior, and gets an all aluminium trim with a light carbon-grain finish, stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs plus floor mats with All-Terrain lettering.
Mercedes-Benz E220 d 4-matic all-terrain is powered by a diesel engine making 194 hp of power, mated to a 9G-tronic gearbox. Mercedes-Benz India is also offering DYNAMIC SELECT along with All-Terrain transmission mode as a standard offering.
Auto Expo 2018: Mercedes-Maybach S650 and S560:
Mercedes-Benz India’s plant in Chakan near Pune is the only plant in the world outside Germany to roll-out Maybach branded products. Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 is priced at Rs 2.73 crore and the Mercedes-Maybach S560 costs Rs 1.94 crore. This is also the first car in India to get a certified BS-VI fuel compliant engine. The diesel engine sheds a power of 286 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The company says it is the most luxurious sedan.
Mercedes-Benz EQ SUV Concept:
The show-stopper at Auto Expo 2018 Mercedes-Benz stall was the Mercedes-Benz EQ concept electric SUV concept that was first showcased at he Mercedes-Benz EQ electric SUV concept. With Concept EQ, Mercedes-Benz plans to electrify mobility solutions across the world and the concept was first showcased at the 2017 Paris Motor Show. The company confirms that the production version of this SUV will debut by 2020.
At the Auto Expo 2018, Mercedes-Benz showed its EQ portfolio and in future will power all the future battery-electric cars developed by Mercedes-Benz.
