Power companies hopeful of non-fossil fuel goal but experts flag need for more
Indian power companies are confident about achieving the target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy by 2030, but challenges such as power purchase agreements, transmission capacity, and land availability must be addressed. The country has already added 256 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity and plans to add 50 GW annually. The government is also promoting renewable projects and energy storage systems.
