Bengaluru is known for its weather, its IT industry, and in recent times, its traffic. Commuters face long delays and traffic jams, turning a short commute into a task. Nothing can define Bengaluru’s traffic scenario better than looking at a train stuck in a traffic jam.

Train stuck in a traffic jam in Bengaluru

Sudhir Chakravarthy, an Instagram user shared the video of a train stuck in a traffic jam at a railway crossing along with other commuters. The incident took place in Munnekolala railway gate, close to the Outer Ring Road.

The area is notorious for its poor traffic management and looking at the video, it could be due to the reason that the gates were not able to close due to the traffic to let the train go past. However, other reports suggest that the train could have had a technical issue and hence stopped.

The Railways has since clarified that the train stopped after the crew noticed a noise coming in motion, and it was halted for a technical inspection. The South Western Railway also released a statement on social media about this. Whatever the scenario, Bengaluru’s traffic is in the limelight and with many companies asking employees to return to office, along with the Outer Ring Road under construction, commuters are feeling the pinch.
