Honda Amaze gets a thick chrome slat grille up front that offers it a bold appearance. The Amaze is now more inclined towards the City instead of the Brio when it comes to design. The headlamps have been tweaked and the wider bonnet translates into a more commanding front profile. On the rear, the tail lamps units are also new that make the car look significantly different than the previous model.
The dashboard on the Honda Amaze is new and it gets new dials, buttons and air conditioning vents. The cabin takes its inspiration from Honda City and receives a beige and black layout. The car gets a new touchscreen infotainment system that supports both, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Powering the BS6 Honda Amaze is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers identical power and torque output of 89hp and 110Nm as in BS4. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 99hp and 200Nm with a manual transmission, while it gives 79hp and 160Nm with CVT transmission.
The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines on the Honda Amaze can be had with choices of a five-speed manual and CVT gearboxes. This is the first time that Honda Amaze is being offered with a diesel CVT.
Honda Amaze gets dual airbags and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD, rear parking sensor, dual airbags and speed alert system as standard across all the variants.
The manual petrol variants of the BS6 Honda Amaze return a fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl while the CVT delivers 18.3kmpl. On the other hand, the manual diesel variant of Honda Amaze returns 24.7kmpl whereas the CVT returns 21kmpl. It gets a 35-litre fuel tank. In a full tank, the manual petrol variant gives a range of about 651km, while the CVT offers a range of 641km. The manual diesel variant gives 865km and CVT offers a 735km in a full brim.
