The Ford Freestyle is based on the Figo and looks beefed up than the latter. The car gets revised front and rear fenders and the high ground clearance makes the car more muscular. Ford calls the Freestyle as the CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle) and the car gets cladding all around that give it a proper crossover look.
Step inside the cabin of the Ford Freestyle and the interiors will remind you of the EcoSport. The upholstery is almost the same as the latter and you get a new 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the passengers at the front sit comfortably, there could have been better legroom in the second row.
.The BS6 Ford Freestyle is powered by 1.2-litre petrol that delivers 96hp of power and 119Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre generates 100hp/215Nm.
The two petrol and diesel engine options of the Ford Freestyle come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The company does not offer an automatic gearbox with the car.
The Fird Freestyle gets dual airbags and ABS as standard across all variants. Besides, you also get automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers along with engine immobiliser. Ford also offers child safety lock along with Electronic Brake Force Distribution with the car.
Ford Freestyle petrol unit comes with a 40-litre fuel tank, while the diesel unit gets a 42-litre fuel tank. The BS6 compliant petrol engine gives a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl and diesel unit offers 23.8kmpl. In a full tank, the petrol engine gives a range of 740km and the diesel unit delivers a range of 1000km.
