The new 2018 Ford Aspire facelift gets a new honeycomb grille up front due to which the car looks better than before. The front bumper along with the fog lamp housings have been revised. The car gets 5-inch alloy wheels that look sporty and add a bit of character to the overall package as the previous 14-inch units used to come across as small.
The 2018 Ford Aspire facelift gets dual tone treatment on the interior due to which the car looks premium. One of the biggest changes inside is the inclusion of a new touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The mid and Titanium trims of the new Aspire get a 7-inch infotainment system while the top spec variant gets a 6.5-inch Ford Sync 3 infotainment system. The unit is one of the best touchscreen systems with a high sensitive touchscreen.
The new 2018 Ford Aspire facelift gets two new petrol engine options. The new 1.2-litre three cylinder engine has been borrowed from the Freestyle and is good for shedding out 96 bhp of power and 120 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the new 1.5-litre three cylinder unit makes out 123 bhp and 150 Nm. Last, the 1.5-litre diesel engine is good for 100 bhp and 215 Nm.
The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the larger 1.5-litre petrol engine gets an automatic transmission. However, the dual clutch unit has now been replaced by a six-speed torque converter unit.
The new 2018 Ford Aspire facelift gets ABS with EBD as standard across all variants. The car also gets seat belt reminders for the front seats along with rear parking sensors. Dual airbags also come standard with new Aspire. Other added safety features include ESP, traction control, hill start assist and more.
The claimed fuel efficiency for the 1.2-litre petrol engine is between 18 kmpl to 20 kmpl for the lower variants while for the top trims, it is 19.4 kmpl. On the other hand, the claimed fuel economy for the 1.5-litre petrol engine is now 16.3 kmpl. Last, the diesel engine returns 25.8 kmpl to 26.1 kmpl which is slightly better than before.
